2025 Mazda3 Gets Alexa and Little Else Ahead of Complete Redesign
The fourth-generation Mazda3 is not bowing out just yet. Instead, it’s back for a seventh year. The 2025 Mazda3 (sedan) and Mazda3 Sport (hatchback) models will arrive in dealerships by late July.
The same two engines return, including a naturally aspirated 2.5-litre four-cylinder that produces 191 horsepower and a turbocharged variant delivering up to 250 horsepower. The former is still available with a six-speed manual gearbox (Mazda3 Sport GT only) and can be paired with Mazda’s i-Activ all-wheel drive system when selecting the six-speed automatic transmission. The latter comes exclusively with the autobox and all-wheel drive.

The GT trims and above now feature Alexa Built-in, allowing the driver to make hands-free commands for prompts like changing the temperature, selecting a radio station or controlling smart home devices. Given Mazda’s frustrating infotainment system, consider that great news.
Furthermore, an enhanced navigation feature called Mazda Online Navigation offers expanded route guidance—including select off-road and trail heads—and the ability to receive over-the-air updates.
MSRPs for the 2025 Mazda3 range from $24,900 to $38,100, excluding $1,995 freight and PDI. They’re up $700 from 2024. Add an extra $750 for the hacthback.
Incidentally, the top-line Mazda3 Sport Suna Edition ($39,600) is back for 2025. This model features an exclusive Zircon Sand Metallic body with 18-inch black wheels and Jet Black Mica mirror caps, plus exclusive terracotta leatherette along with terracotta interior stitching.
Next year, Mazda is expected to launch the fifth generation of the Mazda3. Styling will evolve inside and out, but the biggest change will likely be the addition of a hybrid powertrain.
