It's the End of the Road for the Infiniti Q50 Sedan
It was predictable to this point, but now it’s official: the Infiniti Q50 sedan will bow out at the end of 2024. Over the course of a single generation starting in 2014, the Q50 has tried – and failed – to offer a solid alternative to the venerable German compact sedan.
It's worth pointing out that the Q50 did have its strong points. Powered by a twin-turbocharged six-cylinder developing up to 400 horsepower in the Red Sport variant, the Q50 was a good performance/dollar bargain. Its unique looks and interior comfort were also key points of its unique personality.

However, the Infiniti Q50 was often criticized for its abnormally fuzzy steering feel, which lacked feedback and impinged heavily on its sportiness. And that “connected” feeling is one of the key must-haves for a compact luxury sedan.
After crossing off the Q60 coupe for the 2023 model year and the Q50 for 2024 the Infiniti brand will have no more cars in its catalogue, only sport utility vehicles. The QX50/QX55, QX60 and QX80 will thus have the onerous task of carrying the brand's torch.
