Chrysler, Stuck With Minivans, Makes Modest Changes to 2025 Lineup
Chrysler is fighting—and struggling—to stay relevant with a minivan-only lineup. The Pacifica is losing serious traction right now, while the Grand Caravan is mostly sold to fleet customers.
For the upcoming 2025 model year, the brand is making modest changes to both models mainly because it just can’t afford the status quo.

Let’s start with the Pacifica. A new Select trim (replacing the Touring and Touring-L) can be specified with the gas-powered variant, as is the case with the plug-in hybrid variant. It comes standard with an auto-dimming rearview mirror, universal garage door opener, second-row one-touch windows and premium carpets, among other things.
Incidentally, the Limited trim is available in gas only, while the Pinnacle is available in both gas and plug-in hybrid powertrains.
The popular S Appearance Groupe is now standard on the Pacifica Limited and optional on the Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid Select with Premium Group. In fact, the Premium Group includes the S Appearance Groupe, Safety Sphere Group, Uconnect Theater and Sound Group, as well as an integrated Premium console with wireless charging and dual-pane sunroof.
As for the Grand Caravan, which remains exclusive to Canada (the U.S. has the Voyager), the only trim level in the lineup (SXT) is getting new standard features for 2025 including leather-faced seats, a 10.1-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen, 7-inch driver digital information cluster, three-zone automatic temperature control and second-row sunshades, plus several driver assistance technologies such as Blind-Spot Monitoring, Rear Park Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Departure Warning, not to mention rain-sensing wipers.
Both Chrysler minivans come standard with a 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 engine producing 287 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. The Pacifica continues to offer available AWD in gas configuration only, while the Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid (260 horsepower) stands out with 51 km of zero-emission range.
Pricing for the 2025 models will be announced closer to launch late in 2024.
