2025 Jeep Compass: Huge Price Drop for Jeep’s Baby SUV
Earlier this summer, Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares said the automaker would quickly go to work to improve operations and profitability in North America. This includes cutting production of select models and lowering prices in many cases in an effort to drive sales. The Jeep Compass is a good example.
Despite being the only Jeep that managed to increase its Canadian sales during the first half of 2024 (by a whopping 40 percent, no less), the compact SUV remained up until recently much more expensive than direct competitors. But with the 2025 Compass now on sale, customers are in for a pleasant surprise.

The base Sport trim starts at $34,955 including freight and PDI, which represents a huge drop of $6,020 and makes it a far more sensible purchase. The North retails for $41,995, down $1,920, while the mid-grade Altitude is priced at $46,995 following a $420 cut.
Keep in mind that no changes have been made to the vehicle, except that two body colours have been eliminated, and a new one called “Joose” will become available at a later date.
Higher in the lineup, the more adventurous and more capable Compass Trailhawk had its price raised by $980 to $48,995. The Trailhawk Elite Package is no longer offered, at least based on the online configurator. Finally, the top-line Limited model also starts at $48,995, a minor hike of $80 from 2024. It’s still a heck of a lot of money for a compact SUV that’s smaller and older than most and not even available with an electrified powertrain.
Since the 2025 Compass has just recently launched, no manufacturer’s discounts are available for now. Our advice? Just wait a little longer.
As a reminder, Stellantis last year confirmed that the Brampton, Ontario assembly plant will build the next-generation Compass using the STLA Medium platform, marking a first for Jeep in Canada. As the automaker prepares to retool the factory to produce both ICE-powered and battery-electric vehicles (work is scheduled to be completed in late 2025), it’s expected that the future Compass will be electrified. We should see it on the road sometime in 2026.
