2025 Lincoln Navigator is All-New and More Sophisticated Than Ever
Lincoln today introduced the fifth generation of the Navigator, which boasts fresh styling along with a host of new and advanced technologies.
The flagship SUV sports a redesigned and illuminated front fascia not unlike that of the luxury brand’s latest products. The lightbar on the grille illuminates sequentially from the centre outward on vehicle approach, part of the Lincoln Embrace welcoming sequence. In the rear, the new, full-width taillamps do likewise. Traditional chrome is absent and satin aluminum accents are added for a modern exterior look.

The 2025 Navigator rides on standard 22-inch wheels, while 24-inch alloys are optionally available for the first time. Those looking for a sportier appearance can select the Jet Appearance Package, which offers distinctive 22-inch high-gloss Ebony black aluminum wheels, plus black exterior accents on the belt molding, grille, front bumper fascia, roof rack and unique Lincoln badging.
Soothing Interior
For Lincoln, the Navigator is equal parts SUV and sanctuary. “The all-new Navigator is more than just a vehicle; it can become a home away from home and a third space that rejuvenates clients in an entirely new way on and off the road,” Lincoln president Dianne Craig says.
Thanks to Lincoln Rejuvenate, owners will enjoy a multi-sensory experience that can help reduce stress and provide relaxation in the first and second rows (when equipped with captain’s chairs). While in park, a tap of the touchscreen activates a 5- or 10-minute Rejuvenate experience. The driver’s seat slides rearward, reclines, warms slightly and begins massaging. The steering wheel moves up and away. And calming visuals fill the centre stack and 48-inch panoramic display, complemented by ambient lighting and soothing sounds as a subtle fragrance fills the cabin.
Interior design highlights include premium leather seating surfaces, genuine wood trim and a crystal-inspired volume knob. The unique shape of the Wollsdorf leather-wrapped and heated steering wheel allows for a clear view of the aforementioned panoramic display.
Gadget Galore
The infotainment system features Google Built-in along with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Voice commands and steering wheel thumb controls help make it easy to operate the system, and the 11.1-inch touchscreen is always available as a control panel. There are audio and climate controls for second-row passengers and up to 14 USB ports, including four in the second row and four in the third row.
If you crave entertainment, don’t miss the Pano Mode, which plays video and gaming apps to either side of the panoramic display when the vehicle is in park. It switches off while driving to prevent distractions. Music lovers, meanwhile, will literally revel in the 28-speaker Revel Ultima 3D Audio System with two speakers on either side of the display.
The Navigator accommodates up to eight people. As for cargo, the top three-quarters of the new Split Gate rises like a traditional liftgate, while the bottom quarter lowers like a conventional tailgate, making it easier to load and unload without items spilling in the driveway or transforming the space into a convenient seating area for the family. The cargo area, incidentally, has a payload of 600 lbs.
Familiar Engine
All 2025 Lincoln Navigator models rely on the same twin-turbocharged 3.5-litre V6 producing 440 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque. Four-wheel drive is standard, obviously. Ditto for the adaptive suspension with continuously controlled damping for maximum comfort on the road. Towing capacity is rated at up to 8,700 lbs. On that note, Pro Trailer Backup Assist helps even novice drivers maneuver their trailer into tight spots, while Trailer Hitch Assist makes connecting a trailer a breeze.
For long trips, semi-autonomous highway driving is available at no cost for the first four years. The latest version of BlueCruise (1.4) enables a smoother drive and more time in hands-free mode. It includes new features such as Lane Change Assist, which allows a driver to switch lanes hands-free with a tap of the turn signal when the path is clear, and In-Lane Repositioning, which helps provide more space by subtly shifting away from vehicles in adjacent lanes. Several additional driver assistance features are part of the package, too.
Canadian pricing for the 2025 Lincoln Navigator, which goes on sale next spring, has yet to be announced.
