Most 2025 Ram 1500 Models in Canada Get $4,000 Price Cut

Published on October 18, 2024 in News by Guillaume Rivard

The refreshed and improved 2025 Ram 1500 hit the market several months ago, but Canadian sales of the full-size pickup are falling mightily. Through three quarters of 2024, they’re down 29 percent from the same period a year ago.

High prices are a big reason. In response, Ram Canada today announced a reduction of $4,000 for all 2025 models except the high-performance RHO, following a similar move in the U.S.

As a result, the lineup now starts at an all-in price of $58,740 for a base Tradesman model and $62,240 for a Big Horn model, both equipped with a Quad Cab. The former can also be ordered with a Crew Cab from $60,240.

Exclusive to Canada, the popular Sport model (Crew Cab only) drops to $74,240. Next up is the adventurous Rebel at $76,240. Even the most luxurious Ram 1500s benefit from a price cut, including the new Tungsten at the top of the lineup, which now retails for $106,240. The reduced price will simultaneously lower the federal luxury tax, although that probably wasn’t a real concern for customers who can afford a six-figure truck.

As a reminder, the 2025 Ram 1500 offers a choice of two engines, namely the venerable 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 (305 hp, 269 lb-ft of torque) and the new twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre six-cylinder engine a.k.a. Hurricane replacing the 5.7-litre HEMI V8. The latter is available in Standard Output (420 hp, 469 lb-ft) or High Output (540 hp, 521 lb-ft) configurations. Maximum towing capacity is 11,580 lbs, while maximum payload is 2,300 lbs.

Don’t forget about the 2025 Ram 1500 REV (fully electric) or the 2025 Ram 1500 Ramcharger REx (electric with a range-extending gas engine). Pricing for these two has yet to be announced.
