2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E Gets the One Feature It Sorely Needed

The Ford Mustang Mach-E has received regular updates since launching four years ago, and the upcoming 2025 model won’t be any different.

By popular demand, the automaker is finally adding a heat pump to the Mustang Mach-E as standard equipment. This will result in more efficient heating and improved range in cold weather, although Ford did not provide specific numbers.

Red accent stitching and sport pedals add flair to the interior, while ventilated front seats will increase comfort for drivers of Premium models on hot days. Also, a column-mounted shifter replaces the previous centre-mounted dial shifter on all models, freeing up space on the console.

BlueCruise 1.5, the latest version of Ford’s hands-free highway driving system, debuts on the 2025 Mustang Mach-E. It includes a new feature, Automatic Lane Change, where the system can smoothly and seamlessly perform a lane change without driver input. Basically, the Mustang Mach-E will initiate a lane change if the vehicle ahead is slower than the set speed or if a vehicle is following too closely in the passing lane. It will also keep drivers engaged longer in hands-free mode.

Customers can choose either a one-year plan or a one-time purchase option. A 90-day complimentary trial is also available for those who don’t select either plan option.

What else? There’s a new Ford Connectivity Package with popular apps like Alexa, YouTube and even karaoke, as well a new Sport Appearance Package in Premium trim that adds Mustang Mach-E GT styling cues complete with red-painted Brembo front brake calipers and 19-inch Monochromatic High-Gloss Black wheels.

Finally, three new optional colours make their debut for 2025—Molten Magenta Metallic Tinted Clearcoat, Velocity Blue Metallic and Desert Sand—along with three new wheel designs, one of which is a Dark Carbonized Gray wheel for the Mustang Mach-E Rally.

The 2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E is expected to go on sale in the first half of 2025. Canadian pricing starts at $52,995, a drop of $2,000. Ford is far from done selling the 2024 model, mind you, with lots of units available and a $5,000 delivery allowance currently applied on all trim levels.
