Audi Debuts A8L W12

Long wheelbase sedans are, quite honestly, awesome. Seemingly gaining popularity with every passing day, everyone from Lexus to Rolls Royce to Maybach offers a long-wheelbase variant of their full size luxury sedan. Why? Because they need to. While cars like the R8 and LF-A are great halo cars, it’s the long-wheelbase cars that really pull the affluent crowd into dealerships.

And Audi’s just unveiled one of the most opulent sedans available: the A8 L W12. While there was certainly nothing wrong with the outgoing model, this new one puts the German brand’s level of refinements and luxury on a while other level. Out front, there’s a 500 horsepower W12 and eight-speed automatic, while the rear benefits from the addition of an extreme amount of legroom, heated and cooled massaging chairs, TV screens, ottomans, and tables.

Obviously, pricing is as yet unknown, but suffice it to say this: if you have to ask...
