Stop Whatever You’re Doing and Download “My First Gran Turismo” for Free
Great news for gaming enthusiasts and those who love racing in particular: Sony and Polyphony Digital have just released My First Gran Turismo, a new free-to-play video game celebrating PlayStation’s 30th anniversary.
Essentially a trial version of Gran Turismo 7, this early Christmas present can be downloaded from the PlayStation Store and is available for both PS4 and PS5.

Polyphony Digital President and Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi says the game “pays tribute to the origins of the first Gran Turismo, where players of all generations discovered the joys of driving.” Therefore, it promises an immersive experience that remains accessible even for those with limited driving skills—the proverbial “7 to 77” crowd.
My First Gran Turismo features three Race Events, three Time Trials and three Music Rally stages along with a series of License Tests and other challenges. In the License Center, novices can hone their acceleration, cornering and braking skills, building confidence one lap at a time and then moving on to more serious things.
The three available tracks include Deep Forest Raceway, Kyoto Driving Park and Trial Mountain Circuit. As for cars, look for a selection of up to 18 models led by the 1974 Lamborghini Countach LP400 on the cover. There’s a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T, a 1983 Toyota AE86, a 1989 BMW M3 Sport Evolution, a 1994 Nissan GT-R V-spec II, a 2003 Audi TT, a 2005 MINI Cooper S, a 2014 Volkswagen Golf GTI, a 2014 Peugeot 208 GTi and a 2015 Mazda MX-5.
We can also see a first-generation Acura NSX, a Citroën DS, a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo and even a Suzuki Jimny and Cappuccino. Who doesn’t want to try those?
