A Quarter of a Million Dollars (and More) Will Get You a 2025 Corvette ZR1
When does the Chevrolet Corvette stop being a bargain compared with the finest sports cars from Germany and Italy? The truth is, maybe never, even with prices topping a quarter of a million dollars.
That’s how much customers in Canada will have to pay for the new and phenomenal 2025 Corvette ZR1, the most powerful and fastest production Corvette ever with 1,064 horsepower, a sub-10-second quarter-mile time and a top speed of 375 km/h.

The company this week shared details about Canadian prices, which range from $242,325 for a base 1LZ coupe to $271,245 for a top-line 3LZ convertible. This includes $2,400 freight and PDI, $100 air conditioning charge, $699 dealer fees and $27 tire levy.

Here’s how the various ZR1 models stack up:
Model |
Body Style |
Price Before Tax |
ZR1 1LZ |
Coupe |
$242,325 |
ZR1 1LZ |
Convertible |
$257,425 |
ZR1 3LZ |
Coupe |
$256,325 |
ZR1 3LZ |
Convertible |
$271,245 |
As you can see, the convertible requires an additional $15,100 over the coupe. In all cases, the federal luxury tax applies, more specifically a 10-percent fee on the total cost of the car (which is smaller than a 20-percent fee on the amount exceeding $100,000).

Chevrolet will accept orders for the 2025 Corvette ZR1 later this month, while production is scheduled to start in the spring, with the first deliveries to follow around summer. By the way, based on the current exchange rate, the ZR1 is roughly $10,000 cheaper in Canada than in the U.S., regardless of the trim level. Of course, that could change if no deal is reached between the two countries by early March and Ottawa responds to the trade war launched by U.S. president Donald Trump with its own series of tariffs.
Oh, and if you’re running on a tighter budget, you should know that the cheapest 2025 Corvette model (Stingray 1LZ coupe) carries an all-inclusive price of $90,925, which is just $100 above last year’s price due to a higher destination freight charge.
