Ford Adding SuperCrew to SVT Raptor Lineup

Ford’s latest SVT product, the off-road racing themed Raptor pickup truck, has been an astounding sales success. Although intended to appeal to a small, performance-oriented market, the appeal has been universal.

But there’s one problem. Although the desert-racing crowds may enjoy the wheelbase offered by the small box and cab configuration, it’s tight confines keep the surprisingly appealing truck from gaining a foothold in the mom n’ pop market where rear-seat legroom is a must. So, Ford has promised to construct a SuperCrew variant of the Raptor for the coming model year. Interestingly, this upcoming Raptor SuperCrew will only be available in with the 6.2 litre V8, endowing the people-hauling dune-buster with 411 horsepower and 434 pound-feet of torque.
