Ford Expedition, Lincoln Navigator Recalled Over Braking Issue
Ford will recall a large number of full-size SUVs due to a braking system defect that could seriously increase the risk of accidents.
The recall affects nearly 274,000 Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator SUVs in the U.S., covering the 2022-2024 model years. Another 13,000 in Canada are involved.

An internal investigation has found that the front brake lines could come into contact with the engine air cleaner outlet pipe and become damaged over time. This could lead to a brake fluid leak and reduce front brake performance.
According to Ford's estimations, only about one percent of the recall population will actually be affected by this problem. Dealers will inspect the front brake lines and replace them if they detect any damage or interference. Same thing for the engine air cleaner outlet pipe, if necessary.
Owners are scheduled to receive official notification letters by mail starting in late May.
