Undisclosed Quality Issue Forces GM to Halt Sales of Three SUVs
General Motors has temporarily halted sales of three midsize SUVs due to a quality problem of an unspecified nature. We're talking about some 2026 Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Acadia models.
The news was first reported by GM Authority, citing a service bulletin sent to dealers on July 7.

An internal investigation is underway. Until the automaker finds the exact source of the problem and how to fix it, sales, demos and trades between dealers cannot take place. It is possible that a recall will follow.
Produced at the Lansing Delta Township plant in Michigan, the Traverse and Acadia were completely redesigned for the 2024 model year. The Enclave underwent the same treatment a year later. None of them benefit from major changes for 2026. Slight revisions to colour selection and equipment are in store.
Mechanically, this trio has replaced the old 3.6-litre V6 with a turbocharged 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine. The interior features the latest technology including an advanced infotainment system with Google built-in.
