122,000 Ford, Lincoln Vehicles Recalled in Canada, Rearview Camera to Blame
Ford’s Year of the Recall continues, and the latest item to be added to the list is one of the most trouble-prone components in modern vehicles, namely the rear-view camera.
Just over 122,000 Ford and Lincoln units in Canada may indeed have a problem with the connections inside the rearview camera. As a result, the camera image may not display correctly or at all when the transmission is shifted into reverse.

If this occurs, obviously, the vehicles would fail to comply with Canadian safety regulations and the risk of a crash would increase.

Affected models include:
- 2017-2019 Ford E-Series (including chassis-cab models)
- 2015-2018 Ford Edge
- 2015-2017 Ford Expedition
- 2015-2019 Ford F-250, F-350, F-450 and F-550 (including chassis-cab models)
- 2015-2019 Ford Mustang
- 2019 Ford Ranger
- 2016-2019 Ford Transit
- 2015-2018 Ford Transit Connect
- 2015-2019 Lincoln MKC
- 2015-2019 Lincoln Navigator
Ford will notify owners by mail in the coming weeks and advise them to take their vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the rearview camera.
Two weeks ago, Ford issued at least four separate recalls affecting 156,000 vehicles in Canada to address potentially faulty brakes, instrument clusters, taillights and airbags.
