Competitors Won’t Like 2026 Toyota bZ’s Prices
While the Toyota bZ4X has been relatively successful in terms of sales despite having inferior technology and capabilities to most other electric SUVs of its kind, the company is doubling down for the 2026 model year.
As previously reported, the new 2026 Toyota bZ offers more power and longer range (in AWD configuration), easier charging (with a native NACS port), and many additional enhancements including a refreshed design. Prices also remain very competitive.

First, you should know that the bZ lineup consists of two XLE models (with five available exterior colours) and a more upscale Limited model (nine exterior colours, including four with a black roof).

The entry-level bZ XLE FWD has a retail price of just $45,990, plus freight, delivery and dealer charges totaling $2,929, keeping it under 50 grand. Its single motor produces a modest 168 horsepower and is fed by a 57.7kWh battery that provides a range of 380 km. That's less than the 201 horsepower and 406 km delivered by the outgoing bZ4X, mind you.
By the way, standard content includes newly designed 18-inch alloy wheels, a power liftgate with kick sensor for hands-free operation, power-adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar support, Parking Support Brake System with object detection, as well as a larger 14-inch touchscreen paired with a 7-inch digital gauge cluster.

Toyota Canada clearly aims to push buyers toward an all-wheel-drive model, like the bZ XLE AWD, which starts at $53,390 plus fees. This one features dual motors for a combined output of 338 horsepower and a 77kWh battery that enables a range of up to 468 km. The equivalent bZ4X was limited to 215 horsepower and 367 km—a colossal difference.
Also part of the mix are Subaru’s X-Mode with Grip Control, Downhill Assist Control, Crawl Control, Multi-Terrain Select System and a three-setting off-road mode selector. You’ll easily recognize this model with the addition of roof rails.

Finally, there's the top-line bZ Limited AWD, which retails for $61,690. What justifies the $8,300 premium over the XLE AWD model? Consider the new 20-inch alloy wheels, panoramic glass roof with power shade, radiant front heater, heated and ventilated front row seats with full Softex upholstery, nine-speaker JBL premium audio system, panoramic view monitor and digital rear-view mirror.
It also comes with additional driver assistance features such as Traffic Jam Assist, Advanced Park System, Lane Change Assist and Parking Support Brake System with object, vehicle and pedestrian detection.
The 2026 Toyota bZ is now on sale at dealerships. If you haven't already, check out our first driving impressions. Pricing for the even more powerful and adventure-focused 2026 bZ Woodland will be announced at a later date.
