Performance-E STI Concept

This concept embodies Subaru's vision of performance for future electrified products, emphasizing driving pleasure and handling. Styling combines modern proportions with a nod to the brand's heritage.
The wide and low-slung silhouette incorporates large triangular shapes at the front resulting in an aggressive snout. Meanwhile, the sloping roofline is punctuated by dual spoilers near the upper corners of the rear window. Below is a fancy interpretation of the signature gold wheels, plus a massive rear diffuser that’s clearly inspired from Subaru’s rally tradition.

The cockpit is driver-focused, offering an ideal driving position without compromising comfort. As for performance, all we know is that this STI Concept features all-wheel drive combined with an electric powertrain for lightning-quick response.
Performance-B STI Concept

We sorely miss the third-generation Impreza WRX STI hatchback and its breathtaking performance. In Tokyo, Subaru is capturing its spirit with a new concept that makes use of a turbocharged Boxer engine and even a manual transmission. For real.
Based on the current-generation Impreza, the lightweight and compact body features flared fenders and a lowered ride height. It also boasts aggressive front and rear diffusers and black side skirts, not to mention an enormous rear wing atop the liftgate.

The front end displays a redesigned grille framed by a red stripe. A massive air intake is built into the hood, while the roof is painted black, accentuating the contrast with the blue exterior.
One thing is certain, these two Subaru concepts will make enthusiasts dream about the return of the WRX STI.
