BMW 3 Series Gets Canadian-Exclusive 50 Jahre Edition
Just like it did last year with a 25 Jahre Edition of the X5 exclusive to Canada and limited to 250 units, BMW is now launching a very special 3 Series that will not be offered in the U.S. or anywhere else but here.
The new 2026 M340i xDrive 50 Jahre Edition marks the 50 years of the German compact sedan with unique design elements inspired by its past.

It starts with a choice of six distinctive BMW Individual paint finishes, each reflecting a signature colour from the previous six generations—Madeira Red Metallic, Laguna Green Metallic, Avus Blue Metallic, Carbon Black Metallic, Deep Green Metallic and Citrin Black Metallic.

The unique exterior treatment is complemented by 20-inch forged M Performance wheels, an M Performance exhaust and special badging.
Meanwhile, the cabin features model-specific door sill plaques and premium BMW Individual Merino leather upholstery.

Since this is an M340i xDrive we’re talking about, the engine under the hood is BMW’s renowned 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder B58, which transfers 386 horsepower and 398 lb-ft of torque to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Production of the Canadian-exclusive 2026 BMW M340i xDrive 50 Jahre Edition begins this month in Germany. Only 100 units will be made, so don't waste too much time if you're interested. By the way, the price hasn't been announced yet, but we expect it to be around $85,000 including fees.

In a way, this car beautifully concludes the seventh generation. A brand new 3 Series based on BMW's Neue Klasse platform is slated to debut next year as a 2027 model. It will be accompanied by an electric variant called i3.
We’ll keep you posted as usual. In the meantime, don’t miss our photo gallery showing 50 years of the BMW 3 Series.
