The youngest of three famous sisters, Dufour-Lapointe won an Olympic gold medal in Sochi back in 2014 and a silver medal in PyeongChang in 2018. More recently, in 2023 and 2025, she was crowned as the world’s top freeride skier. Her remarkable success on and off the slopes has resulted in her now being followed by over 100,000 people on Instagram.

“Polestar’s vision of performance with purpose resonates with me, as their vehicles reflect the same balance of precision and control that I strive for when competing,” Dufour-Lapointe said. “The Polestar 3 is an incredible vehicle to live with day-to-day, and a confidence-inspiring partner on my trips to the mountains, regardless of the weather conditions.”
Hugues Bissonnette, the head of Polestar Canada, describes her as one of Canada’s most inspiring athletes and believes she will bring a powerful voice to Polestar’s growing presence in the country.
“We are proud to support her journey and highlight how electric performance can fit seamlessly into an active Canadian lifestyle,” he said.

Don’t miss The Car Guide’s reviews of both the Polestar 3 and Polestar 4. The latter, which stands out with as a coupe-style crossover with no rear window, will meet its first Canadian customers in early December.
