Ford to Sell Certified Pre-Owned Vehicles on Amazon
Just like Hyundai did last year, Ford is now selling vehicles online through Amazon Autos. In the Blue Oval’s case, however, these are certified pre-owned (CPO) models only, not brand new ones.
In the U.S., the program begins with dealerships in Los Angeles, Seattle and Dallas. Other areas will be added in the coming months.

As you might suspect, Canadians won't be able to take advantage of this. There are several reasons why, but the main one is quite simple: Ford Canada's Certified Pre-Owned program was discontinued in 2022.
Pretty Much a One-Stop Shop
Amazon Autos, which expanded last August to add used vehicles to its platform, allows people to shop, purchase, get financing, complete most of the paperwork online and then schedule a convenient time to pick up the selected vehicle.

Searches among dealer inventories can be performed within a maximum radius of 75 miles (120 km).
Every vehicle is backed by a Ford Blue Advantage warranty, which means it has passed a thorough multi-point inspection and comes with roadside assistance. It also includes a money-back guarantee, allowing customers to return the vehicle within 14 days or 1,000 miles (1,600 km).
There are three tiers of certification to meet customer needs—Gold, Blue, EV. The latter is aimed at electric vehicles exclusively.

“This program combines the trust and quality of a Ford-certified vehicle with the familiar, convenient shopping experience of Amazon,” said Wendy Lane, senior manager of Ford Blue Advantage vehicles.
Fan Jin, global leader of Amazon Autos, sees the addition of Ford CPO vehicles as “an exciting expansion of our store.”
“By working with exceptional Ford dealers who share our commitment to customer service, we’re creating a car buying experience that combines trusted vehicle certification with the convenience Amazon is known for,” he said.
