Nissan Recalls Brand New SUVs With Screens That Can Stay Blank
A few thousand Nissan vehicles in Canada are being recalled to fix a software problem.
According to Transport Canada, their infotainment system display could remain blank when the vehicle is started. As a result, when the transmission is shifted into reverse gear, the rearview camera image would not appear on the display.
“A rearview camera image that doesn't display could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash,” TC says on its website.

Nissan will notify owners by mail and advise them to take their vehicle to a dealership to update the infotainment system software at no charge.
This recall affects 3,700 units in Canada including specific trim levels of the following models:
All three SUVs were fully redesigned for the 2025 model year. Murano imports are currently suspended due to tariffs and will resume when the 2026 models launch next spring.
