Toyota Tries to Make 10th Anniversary Prius Cool

Published on October 29, 2010 in New Models by Dan Fritter

It’s been ten long years since Toyota launched the gas/electric hybrid craze with their then-diminutive Prius. And to celebrate, it would appear Toyota is trying to convince their U.K. buyers that it can be both economical and cool… economicool, perhaps?

But sadly, it doesn’t look as if the “Generation X” edition Prius is going to convince a whole lot of people. Clothed in pure black or white with a body kit, 17” grey wheels, and tinted windows, it’s not exactly reinventing the wheel. On the bright side, although the “Generation X” edition won’t be crossing the pond to appear in Canadian dealerships, any Prius owners so smitten by the look should be more than capable of replicating it with a quick trip to the local parts store.
