Ford Recalling Almost 15,000 Crossovers, Trucks

Published on December 31, 2010 in Recalls by Dan Fritter

According to a recent release by the NHTSA, 14,737 Ford SUVs and trucks built will be recalled due to fire risk. Apparently these vehicles, all built during a six day period, were fitted with a faulty body control module that can accidentally short out. If that happens, the module is likely to overheat, which in turn can cause a fire. The affected vehicles are all in the 2011 model year and include the Ford Edge, F-Series (F-150 to F-550) and Lincoln MKX.
