Fuel savings is a key all-around feature in the new 2019 Chevrolet Silverado, shedding 450 pounds from its previous version despite having a 3.9-inch longer wheelbase. Six engine/transmission combinations will be on offer, including the new 5.3-litre and 6.2-litre V8s with an industry-first Dynamic Fuel Management system that's able to shut off a certain amount of cylinders for more fuel-efficient driving. In addition, a new 3.0-litre inline-six turbo-diesel will be offered, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Exterior styling takes on a fresh take with sleeker headlights and new front fascia, but a taste of old comes back with “Chevrolet” stamped across the back of its bed.
