The Ford Ranger makes its comeback to the North-American market, a year after it was teased at the same show. The 2019 version is larger than before, upsizing to the mid-tier range to compete with the Chevrolet Colorado, GMC Canyon and Toyota Tacoma. Powering this re-entry will be a 2.3-litre EcoBoost turbo four unit with power numbers still to arrive. We do know that a class-exclusive 10-speed automatic tranny will be matched to it, with standard rear-wheel drive or optional four-wheel drive. Tech features include Ford's “Trail Control” that allows the pickup to accelerate and brake for the driver under low speeds.
