This year’s edition of the New York Auto Show focused on more affordable vehicles, like the all-new Hyundai Venue that’s set to rival the Nissan Kicks in the subcompact crossover segment. While fairly conservative, the redesigned 2020 Subaru Outback will no doubt be a big hit in Canada. And at Lincoln, the hope is that the brand new Corsair compact SUV will sell in greater numbers than the outgoing MKC.

Very few automakers chose to introduce sports cars in New York. Porsche did unveil the production version of the 911 Speedster, which will be limited to 1,948 units worldwide. Nissan celebrated the GT-R’s 50th anniversary with a special edition producing 600 horsepower.

Here is a photo gallery of the show-stopping cars we spent time marvelling at inside the Javits Center.
