This Electrified C1 Corvette Replica Unsurprisingly Comes from China

Some Chinese automakers are notorious for building clones of American and European cars. The latest example is on display at the 2020 Beijing Motor Show.

The new SS Dolphin from SongSan Motors is nothing more than a replica of the first-generation (C1) Chevrolet Corvette. There are three notable differences, mind you: it’s longer and taller than the original, there’s a plug-in hybrid powertrain delivering about 95 kilometres of EV range, and power is transferred to the front wheels instead of the rear wheels. How dare they?!
