As we reported last week, 768,743 new light-duty vehicles have been sold since the start of 2022 according to the Automotive News Data Center, a drop of 11.5 percent from the same period in 2021.
Why? Because of the microchip shortage and other supply chain issues affecting vehicle production and deliveries, of course. The month of June was the worst in 13 years.
