The TLX is the more upscale of Acura’s two compact cars. It soldiers on for 2025 with no significant changes. The base model features a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine (272 hp, 280 lb-ft) shared with the RDX crossover. The sportier TLX Type S, meanwhile, uses a turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 (355 hp, 354 lb-ft). All-wheel drive comes standard in both cases, which is something the cheaper Integra can’t brag about.
Pros
- Comfortable and dynamic car
- Quality of execution
- Powerful and melodious turbo V6 (Type S)
Cons
- No electrification for the moment
- Touchpad (infotainment) very difficult to use
- Narrow selection of variants and options compared to German competition
