Alfa Romeo’s new entry-level compact SUV shares its platform with the Dodge Hornet. It also offers the same powertrain options, namely a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine putting out 268 horsepower and a plug-in hybrid system combining a 1.3-litre four-cylinder engine with an electric motor. The latter provides 285 horsepower and, more importantly, around 50 km of pure electric range. Handling lives up to the brand’s reputation, but will reliability continue to be an issue?
