Dating back to the 2011 model year, the third-generation Durango midsize SUV is still a relatively strong seller. Part of the reason is the large number of trim levels available (15) and the selection of potent engines including a 3.6-litre V6 (295 horsepower), 5.7-litre V8 (360 horsepower), 6.4-litre V8 (475 horsepower) and supercharged 6.2-litre “Hellcat” V8 (710 horsepower). No electrification of any kind is part of the lineup, however.
Pros
- Excellent towing capacity
- Driving pleasure (SRT and SRT Hellcat)
- Simplistic dashboard
Cons
- Excessive consumption (V8 engines)
- Dated interior
- No electrification
