GMC dropped the manual transmission in the Canyon midsize pickup, but retained both the six- and eight-speed automatics. Three engines are still part of the lineup, including a four-cylinder turbo-diesel that impresses with 369 pound-feet of torque. The Canyon also adds convenient features including a standard tire fill alert and a new available remote locking tailgate. The All Terrain model receives extra safety content like forward collision alert and lane departure warning.
