Completely redesigned in 2007, the full-size GMC Sierra truck is since then powered by more fuel efficient engines, like the variable displacement 5.3-litre V8 engine. But this year, GMC has gone farther, with the arrival of a bimode hybrid model, which uses 25% less fuel on the road and 35% less in the city. Its 300 volt electric engine enables it to run on electricity only under 50 km/h. Despite this, the Sierra's legendary load and towing capacities remain unchanged.
