Can a car be both sporty and hybrid at the same time? Honda’s engineers think so, and they’re betting the CR-Z will prove them right. Its 122-hp 1.5L four-cylinder engine is paired with 13-hp electric motor. To send the power to the front wheels, there’s the choice of a CVT or a six-speed manual transmission, which is almost unheard of in a hybrid. There are two available trims: basic or Premium.
Pros
- Good total torque (two engines combined)
- Excellent manual transmission
- Bold style
- Comfortable seats
- Good size cargo hold
Cons
- Mediocre performance
- Poor rear visibility
- Firm suspension
- Body roll on fast corners
- Its future is uncertain
