Today, the very popular Hyundai Elantra family includes a sedan (that looks a lot like a coupe!), a pleasant five-door hatchback and a coupe with very attractive lines. There are two possible engines: a 1.8L 148-hp four-cylinder for the L and GL sedans, as well as the 2.0L 173-hp engine that you find under the hood of the GLS and Limited sedans, the Elantra GT and the coupe.
Pros
- Choice of body styles
- Interesting engines
- Pleasant handling
- Reasonable fuel consumption
Cons
- Useless adjustable steering system
- Insufficient power (1.8-litre)
- Harsh suspension
- Compact passenger compartment (Coupe)
