The Elantra isn’t done evolving. This time, the sedan gets a new continuously variable transmission allowing drivers to save more fuel. The six-speed manual gearbox is still offered, just like the naturally aspirated 2.0-litre engine that produces 147 horsepower (161 in the Elantra GT hatchback, which retains the available six-speed automatic). Sport and GT N Line models feature a turbocharged 1.6-litre engine rated at 201 horsepower and, optionally, a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
- Lots of features for the price
- Disppointing DCT gearbox (Sport and N Line)
