The popular Lexus RX is a Japanese luxury SUV that does not attempt to be a direct response to German competitors. Rather, it focuses on delivering high build quality and reliability in a fundamentally sound package. There are two configurations (five or seven passengers, the latter known as RX L) and two engines to choose from, namely a 3.5-litre V6 that produces 290-295 horsepower and a hybrid system rated at 398 horsepower that burns just 8.0 L/100 km.
