The GL appeared in 2007, at the height of the traditional SUV craze. At that time, Mercedes already offered the ML, but the increasingly demanding clientele wanted an even bigger vehicle. Mercedes thus created the GL. It has a nice style and its adjustable suspension is very effective. Though sales are limited, its presence in Mercedes’ line-up means the automaker is present in almost every category.
