The MINI Convertible features a soft top that opens in two different ways: either like a sunroof, even at high speeds, or as a fully retractable top for open-air driving. Similar to the MINI 3 Door, it has a turbocharged 2.0-litre 4-cylinder engine available in three different output levels: 161 hp for the Cooper C, 201 hp for the Cooper S and 228 hp for the John Cooper Works. Cargo room, however, is limited to just 160 litres with the top down.
