The first mass-produced electric vehicle is getting a top-to-bottom update for 2018. In fact, the LEAF now looks like a conventional compact car. Still a five-seater, it gets a 40-kWh battery pack (a 10.1-kWh increase) promising a range of 240 km; a 60-kWh version will follow for the 2019 model year. The electric motor now delivers 236 lb·ft of torque. Slightly lower, wider and longer than its predecessor, it will be available at the beginning of the year.
