Thanks to its 268-horsepower, turbocharged four-cylinder engine, the Subaru WRX delivers very interesting performance. It’s equipped with a six-speed manual gearbox, although a continuously variable automatic transmission is available. The WRX STI’s 2.5L four cylinder develops 305 horsepower, and the only available gearbox to send this power to all four wheels is a six-speed manual. For 2018, both sedans have introduced some cosmetic changes, and the WRX STI Type RA joins the family.
