The 2-wheel drive version of the Toyota Highlander is equipped with a 187-hp 2.7L 4-cylinder engine and a 6-speed automatic transmission. As for the 4-wheel drive version, it is powered by a 270-hp 3.5L V6 and paired with a 5-speed automatic gearbox. There is also a hybrid version available that also uses a 3.5L V6 in addition to a CVT gearbox.
