The Atlas is replacing the Touareg, positioned above the Tiguan and staking its claim as the roomiest and most versatile Volkswagen. It has three rows of seats and cargo space that can potentially exceed 2700 litres. A 2.0L four-cylinder turbo with 235 horsepower is standard, while a 3.6L V6 that develops 276 horsepower and 266 lb·ft of torque is available on option. The Atlas can tow up to 2268 kilograms (5000 pounds) with the V6.
