Production of the 2017 Jetta will be extended while we wait for a new-generation 2019 model. The German compact sedan has a 150-horsepower, 1.4L four-cylinder engine that can be paired with a five-speed manual gearbox or a six-speed automatic. There’s also a 170-horsepower, 1.8L four cylinder matched to the automatic gearbox. Regardless of the engine, the Jetta is front-wheel driven.
