Previously called C40 Recharge, the Volvo EC40 is essentially a coupe variant of the EX40. It uses the same configuration: all-wheel drive, combined output of 402 horsepower and an 82kWh battery. Single-motor, rear-wheel-drive models are not returning for 2026. The EC40’s sloping roofline reduces total cargo space from 1,328 to 1,196 litres but improves maximum driving range with a full charge from 418 to 431 km.
