Although it didn’t achieve the success that was expected of it, the S40 mid-size sedan remains a car that shouldn’t be overlooked. Its 2.5-litre five-cylinder engine produces 227 hp and 236 lbs-ft of torque, just like the C30. It’s fully equipped and the seats, as always at Volvo, are above average. This year, gone is the 2.4-litre engine and there’s no more all-wheel drive either.
