The Volvo XC40 is positioned in the subcompact luxury SUV segment and comes in many different trims. The gasoline-powered T4 and T5 models use a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine, while the fully electric XC40 Recharge combines two electric motors for a total output of 402 horsepower. For 2022, the company has lowered the base price of the latter and increased the available range to 359 kilometres without making any changes to the 78-kWh battery pack.
