| Details | On certain 318I vehicles, improper starting procedure could cause a backfire into the intake manifold and damage internal components of the idle control valve. This could result in abnormally high idle speed and if warnings of increased engine noise level and tachometer reading are not heeded, a vehicle crash could occur. |
