Details | ON VEHICLES WITH CRUISE CONTROL, THE PLASTIC BALL SOCKET ON THE CRUISE CONTROL LINKAGE CAN BREAK. IF THIS SHOULD OCCUR, THE CRUISE CONTROL LINKAGE MIGHT BECOME DETACHED ON ONE END AND COULD JAM ON NEARBY COMPONENTS. THIS COULD IMPAIR THE THROTTLE PLATE OPERATION AND PREVENT THE ENGINE FROM RETURNING TO IDLE WHICH COULD RESULT IN LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL. CORRECTION: NEW CRUISE CONTROL LINKAGE WITH STEEL BALL SOCKETS WILL BE INSTALLED ON AFFECTED VEHICLES. IN ADDITION, THE CRUISE CONTROL RELAY LEVER WILL BE LUBRICATED. |
