Details | NOTE: STANDARD TRANSMISSION VEHICLES ONLY. WHEN THE PARKING BRAKE IS APPLIED RAPIDLY, THE SELF-ADJUSTMENT PAWL MAY SKIP OVER ONE OR MORE OF THE TEETH ON THE RATCHET AND THE PARKING BRAKE SYSTEM MAY NOT ACHIEVE FULL TENSION. THIS COULD RESULT IN THE PARKING BRAKE NOT APPLYING OR DIMINISHED PARKING BRAKE EFFECTIVENESS. CORRECTION: A LOCK-IN WEDGE WILL BE INSTALLED TO LOCK OUT THE SELF-ADJUST MECHANISM AND RETAIN THE MESH BETWEEN THE ADJUSTMENT PAWL AND THE RATCHET. |
