Details | On certain vehicles, if a headlamp wiper arm is forced down into a groove below the headlamp due to misadjustment by a workshop or dur to physical force, it can become jammed into the groove. The next time the windshield washers are operated with the headlamps ON, the washer pump will run continuously expelling all fluid. After several hours of running without fluid, the washer pump could seize up, or overheat and cause a vehicle fire. Correction: Washer pump will be replaced with one incorporating an internal thermal cut-out that can open the circuit to the pump after all the fluid is expelled. |
